WATCH: ‘These vaccines will protect the people I love’
In the U.S., everyone over age 12 is now eligible for COVID-19 vaccination. Dr. Simone Wildes, a South Shore Health infectious disease physician, answers common questions and shares her perspective as a clinician on the promise of vaccination.
“I’ve studied the data on these vaccines. In clinical trials, they proved 100% effective at preventing death from COVID,” said Wildes, who is also a Massachusetts Medical Society executive board member and a member of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 Health Equity Advisory Council. “These vaccines will protect the people I love. They are giving us a chance to return to the people and places we care most about.”
All FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccines are free to patients.
